Obituary for Anne Anthony
Anne Beam Anthony, 86 of Hwy 274, Cherryville, went peacefully to be with the Lord in her eternal home on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at her residence.
Born in Lincoln County, on August 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Albert Hugh Beam and Kathleen Stroupe Beam. Mrs. Anthony retired from La-Z-Boy (Burris) after 42 years of service. She was a lifelong member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church, the church choir, WELCA and served on the church council for 12 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Ralph "Winnie" Anthony; son-in-law, Clyde Franklin Kennedy; brother, Charles H. Beam and sister, Kathryn Shidal (A.D).
Survivors include her son, Lindon "Linny" Ralph Anthony and wife, Gail of Cherryville; daughter, Sabra Anthony Kennedy of Cherryville; three grandchildren, Jennifer Kennedy Leonard (Ronny), Ian Kennedy and Sarah Katlyn Anthony; two great grandchildren, Cole Anthony Leonard and Sydney Anne Leonard; sister-in-law, Patsy Beam of Cherryville and beloved pet, Marley.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Anthony's caregivers, Ruth Green, Doretha Odom, Dee McClain and Catherine Nicholas for all of their care.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 3:00pm at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church with the Pastor Robert Sain officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Cedar Grove Lutheran Church Parrish Hall.
