Obituary

Ardie Sue Boyles, 91, of Bess Chapel Ch. Road, Vale, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020.

Born in Lincoln County, on January 27, 1929, she was the daughter of the late George Dewey Boyles and Pearl Elizabeth Houser Boyles. Ardie Sue was a member of Bess Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William “Bill” Boyles, Dan Boyles and Robert Boyles and a sister, Mozelle Jarrett.

Survivors include a brother, Bud Boyles and wife, Pat of Vale; four sisters, Ida Burton of Vale, Doris Bobbitt of Bessemer City, Peggy Bumgardner of Cherryville and Nancy Houser of Vale and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Alice Day officiating.

Memorials may be made to Bess Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Linda Towery, 2357 Bess Chapel Church Road, Cherryville, NC 28021.
