Betty Sue Lewis Ashley, 89, of Lawndale, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at White Oak Manor, Shelby.
Born in Cleveland County, on September 20, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Lewis and Carrie Lewis.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Bill Houston Ashley; a brother, Charlie Earl Lewis and a grandchildren, David Jones.
Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Jones and husband, Danny of Fallston, Carolyn White and husband, Bill of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Robin Wilson and husband, Keith of Shelby; a sister-in-law, Sue Lewis of Shelby; seven grandchildren, Tony Willis, Jason Willis, Wendy Lattimore and husband, Jimmy, Jeff White, Haley Wilson, Lewis Jones and Shane Jones; ten great-grandchildren, Amber Willis, Melissa White, Kristin Ross, Michael Jones, Kayla Jones, Lacey Jones, Easton Theis, Stormi Willis, Dalton Jones and Alexis Jones and two great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be 2:30 pm on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Rose Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Karen Doucette and Mr. David Clay officiating.
Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing will be required.
