Obituary for Bobby Joe Tallent
Bobby Joe Tallent, 66, of Polkville, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at his home.
Born in Cleveland County, on March 3, 1956, he was a son of Reba H. Mode of Polkville and the late Clemmie H. Tallent. He was retired from Standard Crankshaft where he worked as a welder for 20 years, but he began his working life at Brackett's Service Station as a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, and was a retired fireman from Polkville Volunteer Fire Department. As a fireman he was trained in Medcenter Air Scene Team Program and was a Tactical Air Commander.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his loving daughter Millie Tallent; granddaughter, Hannah Swafford; girlfriend of eighteen years Kathy Sentell; brother, Ricky Tallent (Libby); two sisters, Revonda Granger (Steve) and Renee Chapman (Rob); and mother of his child, Debbie Tallent. He was also loved by nieces and nephews, Alex, Andy, Dusty (Amanda) and Johnny and others Annie, Crystal, Jessica, Jamie and their children.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service. At other times the family will be at the home of Reba Mode, 114 S. Withrow Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Polkville Volunteer Fire Department with the Rev. Will Davis officiating and Mr. Jeff Shuford.
