Obituary for Eddie Towery
Carroll "Eddie" Edwin Towery, 74, of Cherryville, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland.
Born in Cleveland County, on September 17, 1946, he was a son of the late Lee Roy Towery and Vivian Nevert Lackey Towery. He was a lifelong member of Hebron United Methodist Church. He served in the US Army during Vietnam and retired from Carolina Freight.
He is survived by his son, Brad Towery and wife Jessica of Vale; daughter, Shanna Lewis and husband Danny of Vale; brother, Donald Towery and wife Margaret of Cherryville; four grandchildren, Toby Lewis, Danilyn Lewis, Seth Towery and Kaylon Towery; niece, Susan Towery of Cherryville and great nephew and niece, Logan and Maggie Chapman, and special friend, Barbara Davis of Cherryville.
Mr. Towery will lie in state at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
The Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:00PM at Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Norton and Mr. Ray Leonhardt officiating.
