Obituary for Corene Hudson
Corene Chapman Hudson, 92, of Old NC 18, Connelly Springs, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory.
Born in Burke County on February 5, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Pink Chapman and Essie Smith Chapman. She was retired from Valdese Manufacturing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ruffin Hudson and a sister, Argel Chapman.
Survivors include four sons, Ezel Hudson, Bobby Hudson, Russell Hudson and Donald Hudson all of Connelly Springs; and three grandchildren, Leeann Champion, Becky Hudson and Dillon Hudson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Fulbright officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
