Obituary for Dennis M. Tallent
Dennis McLynden Tallent, 78, of Vale, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Carolina Caring in Newton.
Born in Cleveland County on July 26, 1944, he was a son of the late Dwight McLynden Tallent and Catherine Martin Tallent. He was retired from MDI.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn B. Tallent and two brothers, Bob Tallent and Kelly Tallent.
Survivors include one son, Michael Tallent (April) of Hickory; one daughter, Kimberley Tallent of Shelby; one sister, Ginger Lusk (Leroy) of Vale; two grandchildren, Christopher Tallent and Josh Tallent both of Hickory; three nieces and one nephew, Leisa Stewart (Jason), Carla Williams (Todd), Annie Frye and Clayton Tallent (Miranda); great nieces and nephews, Claire, Carmen, Kenan, Casen, Pemberley, Blakeley and Marlowe and special friends who were like family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Ginger and Leroy Lusk, 1034 Tallent Rd., Vale, NC 28168.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday at 3:00PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey officiating.
The burial will be private.
