Obituary for Elizabeth Sain

Elizabeth Ann Spurling Sain, 90 of Belwood-Lawndale Road, Lawndale, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Peak Resources in Cherryville.

Born in Cleveland County, on June 13, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Monroe Franklin Spurling and Selvia Lattimore Spurling. Mrs. Sain was retired from Cleveland Mills and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kemp Patha Sain; a son, Ted Sain; daughter, Kempette Black; four brothers, Edwin Spurling, Robert Spurling, Daniel Spurling and Warren Spurling and two sisters, Ruth Spurling Beam and Pauline Spurling Miller.

Survivors include her son, John Sain and wife, Kathy of Lawndale; five grandchildren, Thomas Sain, Tanner Sain, Phillip Sain and wife, Jessica, Trey Parrish and Ted Black and two great-grandchildren, Brylee and Noah Sain.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 11:00am at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home with the Rev. Carson Putnam officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
