Obituary for Fay Canipe Costner
Fay Selma Canipe Costner, 95, of Casar, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation Center, Cherryville.
Born in Cleveland County on August 23, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Orange Canipe and Minnie Lovelie Hoyle Canipe. She was retired from Drexel Furniture and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Maurice Howard Costner and two brothers, Thomas Canipe and Bobby Canipe.
Survivors include one son, Dale Costner and wife Debbie of Casar; one daughter, Amy Mintz of Shallotte, NC; one brother, Jerry Canipe of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Kiley Costner Thiel and Andrew, Kara Costner Blackney, Kelly Mintz and wife Lauren, Henry Mintz and Brianna and Wesley Mintz and wife Aimee and nine great grandchildren, Scheper Thiel, Tucker Thiel, Chloe Reizner, Grayson Blackney, Matthew Mintz, Elizabeth Mintz, Arielle Weathers, Blaine Mestad, Carl Mintz.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at St. Paul Baptist Church, Casar.
The funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Fulbright officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
