Obituary for Faye Morrison Deviney
Faye Morrison Deviney, 96, of Lawndale passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.
Born in Cleveland County, NC on October 19 1925, she was the daughter of the late Cullen Franklin Morrison and Bertha Lura Smith Morrison. She was retired from Cleveland Mills and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lawndale.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julius "Neek" Cornelius Deviney; three brothers, James, Ben and Gene Morrison and five sisters, Ethel Howell, Emaleen Mauney, Kathleen Panther, Ruby Morrison and Daphine Mistrot.
Survivors include a son, Tommy Deviney and wife, Anarah of Kings Mountain; daughter, Debbie Ward and husband, Randy of Lawndale; two grandchildren, Brandi Apple and Tom Deviney; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and two sisters, Doris Sparks and Phyllis Morrison both of Lawndale.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Sherrill officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
