Obituary for Helen M. Richard
Helen Dean Mooney Richard, 88, of Lawndale, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Atrium Health - Cleveland, Shelby.
Born in Cleveland County, on June 18, 1934, she was a daughter of the late George Mooney and Pearl Willis Mooney. She was a homemaker and member of Knob Creek United Methodist Church. She will be remember by her family as a wonderful mother and grandmother who could make the best biscuits.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose Junior Richard; grandson Clayton Richard; son-in-law Perry Blevins; brother Ray Mooney and twin sister Betty Allen.
She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Richard and wife Betty and Carl Richard all of Lawndale; Kathy Blevins of Lawndale; four grandchildren, Cindy Daves (Curtis), Crystal Blevins (Melody Finney), William Blevins (Tamara Swindle) and Brian Crotts (Angie), thirteen great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Price officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the Knob Creek United Methodist Church.
