Obituary for Erlene Chapman
Erlene Hudson Chapman, 73, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at her home.
Born in Cleveland County, on July 14, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Lester Hudson and Mamie Hudson. She was retired from furniture manufacturing and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband John Lewis Chapman and two brothers, Marvin Hudson and Gene Hudson.
She is survived by her son Donnie Chapman and wife Tiffany of Shelby; daughter, Janice Kay Brown of Casar; four brothers, Clyde Hudson, Roy Hudson, Ray Hudson and Joe Hudson all of Casar; a sister, Dessie Fay Smith of Casar; and five grandchildren Nicole Beaver and husband Gary; Madison Mathis, Meysen Chapman, Brysen Chapman and Carsen Chapman; and great grandchild, Brennen Beaver.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston. At other times the family will be at the home of Donnie and Tiffany Chapman, 2632 S. Post Road, Shelby, NC 28152.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Bridges and Rev. Donald White officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
