Obituary for Ellis Costner
Mark Ellis Costner, 84 of Sugar Hill Road, Lawndale, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at his residence.
Born in Lincoln County on December 3, 1938, he was the son of the late Thomas Odis Costner and Nellie Mae Franklin Costner. He was retired from Dora Mill and was a member of Plainsview Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Champion Costner; daughter, Robin Costner Bumgardner
Survivors include his daughter, Wanda Costner Ramsey of Fallston; four grandchildren, Nikki Cook (Jeff), Stacey McMurry, Lindsey Lawson (Shante) and Mark Bumgardner; grandson-in-law, Elliott McMurry; eight great-grandchildren, Hannah Cook, Peyton Cook, Bailee Cook, Olivia Ramsey, Preslee McMurry, Gaige Lawson, Laila Lawson and Cash Lawson.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 2:00pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Norris Willis officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the Plainsview Baptist Church Cemetery.
