Obituary for Martha Brittain
Martha Brown Brittain, 81 of Hwy 274 Vale passed away, Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at The Greens at Lincolnton.
Martha was born March 4, 1942 to the late Arbeth "Pete" Brown and Elsie Marie Fisher of Lincoln County. She was retired from the lace department at Mohican Mills and was a member of Plains View Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Jessie Brittain, grandson Quinton Brittain, grandson-in-law, Elijah Thompson and her parents.
She is survived by her four sons and wives, Dwayne Brittain, Danny and Mendy Brittain, Marty and Brenda Brittain, John and DeAnne Brittain; Grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson (Quincey), Matthew Brittain (Karen), Amanda Allen (James), Haleigh Davis (Dustin), Emily Gilleland (John), Tiffany Cole, Maranda Brittain, LillyAnne Brittain (Dylan Cheek), Kassi Thompson, Jessica Lail (Matthew), Kyle Brittain and John Mark Brittain Jr.; 15 great grandchildren and close family member Darlene K. Stewart; her brother, Gene Brown; two nieces Gina Maness and Hope Edwards.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 23, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Plainsview Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be Sunday at 3:00 pm at Plainsview Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Key officiating.
