Obituary for Marvin Green
Mr. Marvin Green, 81, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.
Born in Lincoln County, NC on October 12, 1941 a son of the late Martin Green and Louise Williams Green. Over the years, Mr. Green worked in the furniture factory, construction, farming and his last place of employment was as a maintenance man at Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shelby.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin Edward Green and Wayne Green.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lucille Wilkie Green of the home; a son, Jeffery Marvin Green of Shelby; two daughters, Cindy Green Rogers and husband Martin of Mt. Ulla, NC; Debra Green Brittain and husband Roger of Lawndale; two grandsons, Jacob Brittain and wife Holly of Shelby and Eli Brittain and wife Madison of Raleigh; three sisters, Betty Sue Haynes; Evelyn Ballard and husband Dennis; Ellen Jones and husband Randy all of Lincolnton; three brothers, James Green and wife Lucille; Hugh Green and wife Ruth and Hal Green all of Lawndale. Also survived are a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Rose Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.
Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston.
