Obituary for Marvin Bulow Smith Jr.
Marvin Bulow Smith, Jr., 82 , of Casar passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Atrium Health - Cleveland.
Born in Cleveland County, on October 6, 1940, he was a son of the late Marvin Below Smith, Sr. and Margaret Helena Green Smith. He was retired from Dover Mills and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Betty Reese Smith and a brother, Everette "Buddy" Smith.
He is survived by a son Donnie Smith of Casar; two daughters Debra Davis and husband Joel of Lawndale and Robyn Price of Kings Mountain; a brother Charles Smith of Casar; a sister, Elowise Ledford of Casar and six grandchildren, Travis Cook, Spencer Price, Stephen Price, Jacob Davis, Bella Howell and Autumn Howell; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jamie Bridges officiating.
