Nancy Louise Barger Wesson, 87, of Vale , passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at her home. .
Born in Catawba County on July 18, 1933 , she was a daughter of the late Robert Barger and Sibbie Vanhorn Barger. She was retired from Hickory Manufacturing and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blair F. Wesson, son, Jerry Wesson; daughter, Janice Wesson; three brothers, William Barger, Glenn Barger and Howard Barger and one sister Ellen May.
Survivors include three sons, Mickey Wesson and wife Teresa of Kernersville, Gary Wesson and wife Tonja of Vale and Byron Wesson and wife Laura of Denver; one daughter, Becky Wesson of Vale; two brothers, Joe Barger of Bethlehem and Earl Barger and wife Sheila of Hickory; one sister-in-law, Ruby Sain and her family of Vale; ten grandchildren, Jason Hartsoe, Sara Hartsoe, Emily Loftis and husband Jason, Jonathan Wesson and wife Taryn, Jennifer Royster and husband David, Daniel Wesson, David Wesson, Zachary Wesson, Jacob Wesson and Cole Wesson; three great grandchildren, Bethany Loftis, Jace Loftis and Isaac Royster.
Mrs. Wesson will lie-in-state Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home. The family will not be present during this time.
The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 2:00PM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey officiating. Please bring a lawn chair if needed.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 1156 North Brook III School Rd., Vale, NC 28168..
