Obituary for Norma Wall

Mrs. Norma Jean McIntyre Wall was born on November 8th 1939 and died on December 22nd 2020 at Atrium Health.

She enjoyed the young people and they in turn admired her. She was an avid sports fan. She loved UNC Tarheel Basketball and the Atlanta Braves. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her. She was a lifetime member at Union Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Fletcher Andrew and Gladys H. McIntyre. Norma Jean was co-owner of Rollerama Skating Rink for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John J. Wall. Also preceding her in death was her brother Steven E. McIntyre.

She was survived by her daughter, Teresa Owens and her husband Jeff with whom she resided. She was also survived by her brother Walter and wife Earlene, her nephew Stacy and wife Susan and their three children, as well as her nieces Lesley McIntyre Brazzell, husband Wayne Brazzell and Lisa McIntyre Price, and daughter Mallory Price. Also surviving her, was her sister in law, Wanda McIntyre, wife of Steve. Special cousin Betty Powell, special nephew Wally Wall and mother Sandra Wall. She was survived by two stepdaughters Karen Wall Quien and Belinda Wall McMurry, with five step grandchildren Dana Robinson, Garret Thomas, Bryan Quien, Eddie Quien, and Chris Owens. She was also survived by three great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Union Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday at 2pm. Officiated by the Reverend Michael Shumate and Reverend Wayne Brazzell.
