Obituary for Peggy Earwood
Peggy Joyce Raines Earwood, 91 of Old Charles Road, Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Holly Springs Rest Home, Rutherfordton.
Born in Cleveland County, on February 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William Delford Raines and Letha Gantt Raines. Mrs. Earwood was retired from Fiber Industries and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Gene Hawkins, Warren Southard, H.E. Waldrop and William Franklin Earwood.
Survivors include her son, Danny Hawkins and wife, Nancy of Boiling Springs, SC; four grandchildren, Samantha Barrett, Jamie Cleary and husband, Travis, Michelle West and husband, Chad and Malinda Price and husband, Chad and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 4:00pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Moneyham officiating.
Entombment will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
