Obituary for Randy Scott Mathis
Randy Scott Mathis, 61, of Fish Pond Rd., Cherryville, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at home.
Born in Lincoln County on January 27, 1961, he was a son of Bessie Cook Mathis of Lincolnton and the late Olin Junior Mathis. He was retired from Ethan Allen.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Mathis.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of forty years, Susan Avery Mathis; two sons, Matthew Scott Mathis and Joshua Olin Mathis both of Cherryville; two brothers, Danny Mathis of Vale and Rocky Mathis of Lincolnton; one sister-in-law, Fran Avery Wilson and husband Jeff of Vale.
The family of Mr. Mathis would like to thank Adraine Deen and Gloria Deen and Suzanne and Brad from Hospice of Lincoln County for the loving care they provided to him.
