Obituary for Robert Franklin Davis
Robert Franklin Davis, 85, of Polkville, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center, Shelby.
Born in Cleveland County, on January 4, 1937, he was a son of the late Robert Lee Davis and Opal Bridges Davis. He retired from Stamey Stores after thirty-seven years of service. Robert was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church and Camp Call Masonic Lodge #534.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Steve Davis and sister, Wanda Gray.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Weatherford Davis, son, Matt Davis and wife Carmen of Shelby; daughter, Tammy Eaker and husband, Bryan of Holden Beach; sister, Pat Stewart of Chapel Hill; four grandchildren, Megan Rosier and husband, Blake, Alex Eaker, Ryan Davis, and Patrick Davis and a special friend, Vickie Blanton.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Cleveland Pines Nursing Center for the wonderful care and support that was shown to Robert.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Scott and Rev. Doug Pruett officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the Polkville Baptist Church Cemetery.
