Shirley Jane White Powell, 56, of Shelby, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Hospice at Wendover, Shelby .
Born in Cleveland County, on November 27, 1964 , she was a daughter of Martha Jane Griffin White of Shelby and the late James Carl White.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one son, Roy Edward Philbeck, Jr.; one brother, James Christopher White and one sister, Samantha White.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of three years, Ronald Dale Powell; one son, Tyler Davis of Shelby; three daughters, Amanda Murray and husband David of Crouse, Christina Martin and husband Chip of Shelby and Betty Jo Philbeck of Shelby; one brother, Donald White and wife Sherry of Shelby; one half brother, Buster Griffin and wife Ann of Shelby; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Amanda and David Murray, 2804 West Old NC 150 Hwy., Crouse, NC 28033.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 1:00 pm at In His Hands Independent Baptist Church, 126 Hopewell Rd., Ellenboro, NC 28040 with the Rev. David Murray and Rev. Donald White officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
