Obituary for W.C. Botts
Wesley "W.C." Clifford Botts, 95, of Casar, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Atrium Health - Cleveland.
Born in Cleveland County, on July 15, 1927, he was a son of the late Clifford Samuel Botts and Florence Ethel Newton Botts. He was a lifelong farmer and member of Corinth Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son; Wesley Botts; two brothers, Buford Botts and Howard Botts; and seven sisters, Johnnie Norman, Mildred Warlick, Betty Jean Botts, Elizabeth Johnson, Mary Lou Ennis, Dorothy Dean Norman, and Willard Bridges.
He is survived by his wife of seventy-two years, Elizabeth "Lib" Weaver Botts; two sons, Michael Botts and wife Penny of Granite Falls and Timothy Botts of Casar; daughter-in-law, Betty Botts of Casar; four grandchildren, John Botts and wife, Christie, Matthew Botts and wife Ashley, Ashley Botts and Justin Botts; five great grandchildren, Weston Botts, Samuel Botts, Madison Botts, William Botts and Abby Botts.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church, Casar.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, 4:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Dustin Hamrick officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
