Obituary for Wesley James Martin
Wesley James Martin, 98, of North Brook III School Road, Vale, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at The Greens, Lincolnton.
Born in Smyrna, SC on April 20, 1924, he was a son of the late Vester Martin and Martha Peterson Martin. He was retired form Timmerman Manufacturing and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lee Martin and siblings, Letha Keener, Catherine Staley, Bertha Ayers, Mason Martin, Erskine Martin, Maybelle Lankford and Barney Martin.
He is survived by his daughter, Ilene Gantt and husband Bobby of Vale.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Mr. Steve Propst officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
