Bill always had a kind word and cherry greeting at work. I have happy memories of before work time "carrying on" with Bill.

Mr Floyd, Bill, was always ready to help with any cemetery question I had about my family. His desire to document local history helped so many of us!! I have used his cemetery documentation more times than I could count. I loved his car dash-mounted video recordings as he drove along Rutherford County back roads, telling us what he was seeing, identifying homes and roads. He preserved so many memories and the landscape that is quickly leaving us. I enjoyed talking with him at the GSOTC Library. He was always friendly and ready to help as he scanned local newspapers, preserving obituaries. I will miss him. I already do.

Bill did as much as anyone that I know to help people with their ancestry. He placed cemeteries on the internet back in the 1990's in North Carolina and South carolina. Many people were able to find their ancestors because of the hard work of Bill. He will be missed by many people
